2014 marks a reunion for Team Sahlen partnering with Forgeline Wheels. The most recent time these two Ohio based Motorsports enthusiastic groups got together was from 2007-2009.
Team Sahlen’s Will Nonnamaker shared his thoughts here – “We are very excited to be partnered again with the Schardt Family and everyone at Forgeline Wheels. The last time we built a race car from the very beginning was in 2007, when we built our ROLEX GT Corvettes. And with a clean sheet of paper, we choose to purchase Forgeline wheels. Now, 7 years later, we built our Porsche Caymans for the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, and we knew from the beginning that our #1 choice was to go with Forgeline wheels.”
What makes Forgeline Motorsports the premier manufacturer of forged 6061-T6 aluminum custom performance wheels?
Forgeline Motorsports manufactures the world's finest custom-made high-performance lightweight forged aluminum street and racing wheels for the most discerning enthusiasts and the most demanding applications.
For over 20 years, we have applied our racing experience and passion for motorsports toward designing and building wheels that can withstand the extreme demands of sports car racing. With an unwavering commitment to strength and safety, we have earned a spot on some of the world's fastest race cars, including those in United SportsCar, Grand-Am, American LeMans, SCCA Pro Racing, and virtually every amateur racing series in America.
Every Forgeline wheel is engineered using computer-simulated finite element analysis and tested beyond SAE standards using real-world load variables to ensure strength, safety, and performance. Innovative features like I-beamed spokes, hidden titanium ARP fasteners, meticulously-engineered centers, and complex manufacturing techniques (like those found in our flagship three-piece competition wheel, the GA3R) ensure that Forgeline wheels are strong, fast, and stunning.
Forgeline wheels are machined from heat-treated 6061-T6 aluminum that is forged on a 6000-ton hydraulic press. This forging process aligns the grain structure, reduces porosity, and increases uniformity in the material, creating the highest strength-to-weight ratios and the most consistent quality. On average, our forgings are 40% stronger than cast aluminum.
Forgeline's own in-house manufacturing and engineering capabilities also provide unparalleled flexibility when it comes to vehicle fitments, wheel sizing, and custom finish options. Whether you need a wheel that is specially-built to accommodate your unique suspension and brake package, or you just want a custom color combination to express your own individual personality, Forgeline can get it done! We can even build completely original one-off wheel designs for prototypes, show cars, and creative enthusiasts who wish to have a truly original wheel.
And Forgeline's legendary quality and customer service is unmatched. The experience, dedication, and personal involvement of our hands-on company owner and our entire team of employees ensure that every Forgeline customer is confidently investing in quality, strength, durability, and performance with every purchase.
