Wayne Nonnamaker is the youngest of the Nonnamaker family. Wayne was lucky enough to get an early start in racing by competing in the SCCA Speed Freakz program. In 1995 at the young age of 17 Wayne began driving in 1987 VW Golf.

1997 saw Wayne have a successful year campaigning a Mazda MX-6 in the SCCA SSA division. Consistent finishes as well as an overall win in the rain at Connelsville brought Wayne an opportunity to compete in the SCCA National Run Offs.

1998 saw Wayne run selected events in the Speedvision and Motorola Cup. The highlight of the season saw Wayne finish 3rd at Mid-Ohio while Father Joe won the race.

The 1999 season saw Wayne graduate from Miami University (OH) and win his first professional race at the season opener at Sebring International Raceway. The win came in a Mazda 626, giving Mazda its first professional win in the 626 model. By the end of the season, Wayne and his brother Will had teamed up to produce 2 wins, six podiums, a pole, and share the Driver's Championship.

The year 2000 saw Wayne and his elder brother, Will, make the switch from the Mazda marque to the very successful Acura brand. As the duo learned more about the cars and how to dial them in, they became more and more competitive. Three poles and a podium were the highlights of the season. Late in the season two wins slipped through the two brothers hands because of mechanical difficulties.

In 2001, Wayne once again teamed up with his brother to run the Grand Am Cup. A strong season for Wayne saw him win two races and score eight podiums en route to a fourth place finish in the points. The season was also highlighted with two poles and two fastest race laps. Wayne shared two of those wins with elder brother, Will, who also went on to win four other races. Will was crowned the 2001 Grand Am Cup C2K Champion. enjoying a season that saw him score ten podiums and an average finishing position of 1.6.

In 2002 Wayne returned with his brother Will to aide in Will's defense of the STII crown. By the end of the season the two had racked up five pole positions, five fastest race laps, and four wins to take home the Championship. The Championship was Will's third and Wayne's second.

The 2003 season saw the brothers split up for the first time in four years. Will returned to the STII class Acura Integra LS to go for his third straight STII title. Wayne moved into the Grand Sports II Porsche 911 with their father, Joe Nonnamaker. Wayne and Joe scored the 2003 Grand Am Cup Grand Sport Championship with four wins.

In 2004 Wayne shared the Grand Am Cup Grand Sport TheRaceSite.com Racing Porsche with his father Joe once again. The pair teamed together to see Wayne score a fourth place finish in the Points while the team scored first and second in the Team Championship.
