Five time Emmy Award winner and fan of Watkins Glen International (WGI) Tom Hedden has composed the music fans will hear onsite as well as in WGI television commercials, promotional videos and in-studios interviews.
Twice named the Society of European Stage Authors & Composers (SESAC)’s Television Composer of the Year, Hedden has been honored by the International Television Association (ITVA) and The Philadelphia Advertising Club. A former Director of Music for National Football League (NFL) Films, Hedden’s “Sprint Right,” serves as the league’s theme. He has also developed themes for ESPN and NPR and composed scores for documentaries aired on A&E and The History Channel as well as motion pictures “The Waterboy” and “Little Children.” His work is also featured in the halls of fame for both the NFL and NASCAR.
“Music is the universal language and is used to complement the world’s best brands,” shared WGI Senior Director of Marketing & Fan Experience Brett Powell. “Tom’s composition takes our image to the next level with edge-of-your-seat drama and action. Incorporating race sound clips and an intensifying melody, the only things missing are a checkered flag and that unmistakable smell of Gatorade Victory Lane!”
A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Hedden resides in New Jersey’s Pinelands with his family. He formed Tom Hedden Music, a music production and consulting company, in 2009 and has worked with Reebok, Alltel, Ford, Exxon, Coca-Cola, Mercedes Benz and The Art of The Game based in Nashville, Tenn.
