The entire crew at Team Sahlen is working hard to push to the front of the GT field in the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16. Team Sahlen has already established themselves as solid Top 10 contenders in 2010, with 7th, 10th and 9th place finishes in the 1st three rounds of the season. Now as the season enters the 2nd Quarter, Team Sahlen is working to become a Top 5 contender every weekend.
“When we started this season fresh with our Mazda RX-8s, the goal was clear: to assist Mazda in winning the GT class Manufacturers Crown. And for our team to be off assistance in this endeavor, we have to continue to evolve to be not only a Top 10 finisher every weekend, but a consistent threat to Top 5 finishes. We are making huge strides, and we have even bigger plans as we enter the 2nd quarter of the season.” – states Joe Sahlen.
Drivers for the #43 Team Sahlen Mazda RX-8 will be Joe and Wayne Nonnamaker. Currently #43 is in 7th place in the GT Team Standings. Additionally, Team Sahlen will be entering the #42 Mazda RX-8 with drivers Joe Sahlen and Will Nonnamaker. Team Sahlen’s #42 is just outside the GT Top 10, in 12th place.
