Just 3 short weeks after the Mexico City event, Team Sahlen returns to action in sunny Florida at Homestead Speedway.
Team Sahlen learned a lot about the new HRPWorld.com Corvettes at Mexico. A full notepad of areas to refine were listed out. These particular items were focused upon by the crew in the shop, and now the Corvettes are ready to go back into action.
"We were very fortunate that the HRPWorld.com Corvettes came back in good shape. There was no body or drivetrain damage. That provided us with time in the shop to focus on further development. Everyone at Team Sahlen is looking forward to the Homestead weekend." - states Mike Thomas, Crew Chief
Team Sahlen's preparations for Homestead did not just start when the cars came home from Mexico City. As far back as December, Team Sahlen was preparing for Homestead, by attending the official ROLEX fall test session at the southern Florida venue.
"I had never been to Homestead before, so getting some quality laps in during the fall certainly will be of benefit come this weekend. Team Sahlen was the 3rd fastest GT team in the Fall test, so hopefully that momentum will continue."
- states Joe Sahlen
Joe & Wayne Nonnamaker will drive Team Sahlen's #43 HRPWorld.com Corvette. The Team Sahlen #42 HRPWorld.com Corvette will be steered by Joe Sahlen and Will Nonnamaker.
Round 3 of the 2007 ROLEX Sext round of the ROLEX Sports Car Series will be at Homestead on March 24th. The race will be same day tape delayed at 8 pm on SPEED Channel
