< Back to News Home TPC Racing offers excellent service to Team Sahlen

Posted (06/30/2014) -

Entering the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge in 2014, Team Sahlen knows that the competition will  be tough.  To ensure that the maximum can be extracted to achieve the top results, Team Sahlen has reached out to long time fellow competitor to assist in this goal.

Team Sahlen driver Joe Nonnamaker further added – “We have known Michael Levitas and TPC Racing as far back as 2002.  During that season, we were trying to figure out which direction we were going to go after parking our Chevrolet Corvette.  So we were able to partner up, and I drove with TPC Racing at Mont Tremblant in both the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge and ROLEX 6 hour event.   We ended up finishing 2nd Overall in the Continental race, and 1st in the GS class and 8th overall in the 6 Hours.  Then for several years we ran as fellow Porsche Competitors.  Now, we have come full circle and are partnered up for this year.”

During the season, TPC Racing will be providing many services for Team Sahlen at the race track.  This includes diagnostic assistance on the production based Porsche.   And TPC Racing will provide further assistance on the intricacies of the mid-engined Cayman.  Additionally, Team Sahlen will be working with TPC Racing to test and tune with the TPC line of Swaybars. As well, TPC Racing crew will be the key members in pit stopping the #43 Team Sahlen Cayman during each race.

TPC Racing is the Mid-Atlantic's premier maintenance, service, tuning and modification center dedicated solely to Porsche sportscars. This long time focus on only one make, Porsche, has enabled us to become experts in Porsche service, tuning, and racing.

TPCRacing has its roots in the IMSA Supercar Series of the late 1980’s and early 1990s, where team owner and driver Mike Levitas managed the turbocharger programs that gave the fire-breathing Nissan 300ZX, Mazda RX7 Twin Turbo, Lotus Turbo Esprit and Consulier GTPs their prodigious power.

By combining a lifetime of automotive enthusiasm, business experience and technical skill with advanced aeronautical training and certifications, Levitas has managed to extend the engineering of some of the most advanced and well-regarded machines in existence – Porsche race cars.
