Will Nonnamaker’s 1^st experience with Grassroots Motorsports Magazine came while we was in high school.  He was an early subscriber to the magazine.  Unlike other general automotive periodicals of the time (Autoweek, Car & Driver, Road & Track), Grassroots seemed to go beyond chatting about every new car they could find.  And unlike all the import publications (Import Car, Sport Compact Car, Turbo), Grassroots seemed to be be more real, about the common day enthusiast desiring to improve their street car for performance.

As Will went to college, he had a dream to someday write for this Publication. So with a pen and paper (this was the days before e-mail), Will wrote a letter to Editor and Owner of Grassroots Motorsports, Tim Suddard, and ask if he could write for the publication.  To Will’s surprise, Tim said yes.  And from there started a 20+ year journey.  This relationship evolved to include the often read, sometimes complimented reoccurring editorial “Driving Diaries”, where Will shared his random thoughts on the racing world. This relationship has extended to many other avenues including: Cover of the Magazine, Sponsoring the ROLEX 24 VIP Fan Give-A-Way, and much, much more.

Will shared his thoughts - “Grassroots was my favorite publication in High School, and to this day it is still my favorite.  Everytime it comes in the mail, I can’t wait to read it from cover to cover.  And you can’t say that too often about many magazines these days.”
