In a recent December poll on the Grand American site, Fans were ask to vote for their choice of which new car would win a race in the 2010 Continental Tire Series. The new cars listed were the Chevrolet Camaro, MAZDASPEED3, KIA Forte Koup and the Porsche Cayman. The Contest lasted for several weeks, with several thousand fans voting for their pick.
With such several exciting new cars in the Voting, it would be tough to guess which race car would come out on top.
When the final voting was complete, the MAZDASPEED3 was voted by the Fans to be the most likely to win a Race in the 2010 Continental Tires Series.
In fact, over 1 out of 3 fans voted for the MAZDASPEED3.

Campaigning the new MAZDASPEED3 will be the Freedom Autosport Team and Team Sahlen. Freedom Autosport campaigned a fleet of Mazda MX-5s to 2 ST class victories in 2009. Team Sahlen campaigned a Mazda RX-8 to several top 10s to assist Mazda in capturing 2nd in the ST Manufacturer's Title. Both teams boost a strong contingent of drivers.
Team Sahlen's Will Nonnamaker will be driving the #43 MAZDASPEED3. Nonnamaker is a 3 time ST class Driving Champion, with several of his race victories coming in a Mazda in the 1990s "Its great that the fans have voted for the MAZDASPEED3 to win a race in 2010. Although that does put a lot of pressure on both our team and Freedom Autosport. There are a lot of great new cars with some fantastic teams running them. I am sure that the Camaro, Cayman and Koup will all be very competitive in the closely packed action of the Continental Series
The first test of the 2010 Continental Tire Series will be this weekend at Daytona International Speedway. At the event will be the three MAZDASPEED3 race cars, all built by SpeedSource Engineering.
