For the past 5 Seasons, Alcon has been the official Rotor and Caliper for Team Sahlen's ROELX GT campaign. Starting with the Porsche GT3 Cup race cars and evolving into the Current Chevrolet Corvettes, Team Sahlen has relied upon the performance and reliability of Alcon to rise to the front of the pack.
Alcon USA provides sales, service and technical support in North America for the premium brake and clutch products designed and manufactured by parent company Alcon Components Ltd.
Alcon's heritage in the US reaches back to the 1980's when the likes of March Engineering started fitting Alcon brakes on Indy Cars. In 1988 Audi dominated the Trans-Am series with Alcon brakes which began the string of victories and championships for Alcon equipped cars in race series including Trans Am, IndyCar, IMSA, Grand Am, NASCAR. Recent triumphs helped by Alcon include 2008 IndyCar Champion Scott Dixon.
Today Alcon USA has locations in Illinois and North Carolina servicing all types of racing and performance oriented customers in partnership with a select few specialized distributors.
Alcon is proud to be the sole approved supplier of brake calipers and rotors for road and street course events in the IRL IndyCar® Series. Additionally, Alcon is an approved manufacturer in Grand Am and NASCAR.
