After taking ten straight podiums in the 2001 season to claim the Driver's Championship, Will Nonnamaker co-drove with his brother Wayne to extend his streak to eleven straight podiums.

For this season, Will and Wayne Nonnamaker will again be sharing the #41 Acura Integra, but instead of driving a neon blue and green Planet Earth Motorsports Acura, Will and Wayne will be sharing a HRPWorld.com Racing / King Motorsports Acura Integra LS. The cars will be prepped by the same race team, Phoenix Promotions, but will be campaigned with different corporate partners.

"We are excited about this start to the season," said Will, the 2001 Sports Touring II Grand Am Cup Champion. "Second place was okay because an Acura won the race, so we have a good jump on Mazda in defending the Manufacturer's Championship."

"We tested for two days at Savannah (Georgia), and we learned a lot while we were there," said Wayne. "Now we are going to go back home and see what more we can develop for this car. The season is young, and we are looking to score Acura its second Manufacturer's Championship in a row in the Sports Touring II Class."

The next race for the Nonnamaker brothers will be March 22nd at California Speedway. The Grand Am Cup will join both the Grand Am Rolex Series and the Indy Racing League on the race schedule for the weekend.
