Racers and Race Fans are surrounded by many sights and sounds during the hectic and event filled ROLEX 24 Hours of Daytona weekend. But one common theme will be prevelant no matter where you go: The Waving Flag logo of Sahlen's Hot Dogs.
If you are a racer going to get something for lunch, you will be heading over to the Sahlen's Paddock Club, to eat a delicious Sahlen's Hot Dog. The 2009 Season marks the 5th straight year for Sahlen's as the presenter of the Paddock Club.
If you happen be a part of the Grassroots Motorsports ROLEX 24 weekend pass package, you will be treated to a Sahlen's Hot Dog during your lunch gathering. This marks the 2nd straight year Sahlen's has participated in providing meals for the weekend pass VIP guests.
Plus, for the 2nd straight year, one lucky Grassroots Motorsports reader will have a chance to get up close and personal as a VIP Crew Member with Team Sahlen's KONI Challenge Mazda RX-8 campaign for the weekend. This year lucky winner is Bob Tyler.
If you happen to miss those two opportunities to quench your Sahlen Hot Dog craving, you can always head over to the Team Sahlen race cars, were the team is always eating a freshly cooked dog of the grill at lunch.
Speaking of Team Sahlen, Sahlen's will be racing their #42 and #43 Corvettes in the twice the clock event. For the past two seasons, Team Sahlen has been the top placed Corvette in the race. This is the 5th straight year for Sahlen's logo to race past the fans on the track. Drivers for the event will include Joe Sahlen and Joe, Wayne & Will Nonnamaker. As mentioned, Team Sahlen will have their Mazda RX-8 in the KONI Challenge Series race held on Friday afternoon.
