A very adventurous Roar before the 24 Test by Team Sahlen saw all objectives achieved. Having skipped both fall tests at Daytona, Team Sahlen had been able to focus in the race shop preparing the Corvettes exclusively for the January Test.
With the plant to run the #42 Corvette in the 24 hour race, Team Sahlen focused upon slight modifications. These improvements were focused upon the drivability as well as reliability. The test was a success, as all objectives were achieved over the 3 day test.
"The improvement to #42 Corvette to what we raced here last January is like night and day. The car is very predictable and repeating times lap after lap is very manageable. We are really looking forward to the ROLEX 24 Hours at Daytona."

The Roar before the 24 was also the first time at the track for new full time Team Sahlen Crew Members Jay Chapman, Chris Lowe and Joe Miller.
"Beyond the Corvettes running well, the team really gelled at the track. I am really looking forward to the 2009 season starting. I think we are going to surprise a lot of the GT team this year."

The #43 Corvette came to the test as a pure test run for modifications that Team Sahlen plans to run later in the 2009 campaign. Although the Corvette only ran a short time, all indications point to positive impact to positive performance improvements later in the season after the ROLEX 24 Hours at Daytona.
