Team Sahlen heads to the New Jersey Thunderbolt Raceway hoping to create some thunder of their own. Racing Corvettes with Chevy Thunder under the hood, race fans should certainly feel the earth shake. Adding to the Thunder theme, Team Sahlen race cars all carry lightning bolts on the sides of the racers.
"We are excited to be racing on this new track. The New Jersey Motorsports Park Thunderbolt Raceway certainly suits our Corvettes. There are a lot of sweeping turns, with lots of turns climbing and climbing. This will play into the strong suits of the Corvette."
- states Joe Nonnamaker
Driving the #42 Team Sahlen racer will be Joe Sahlen and Will Nonnamaker. Additionally, Joe & Wayne Nonnamaker will be teamed together in the #43 Corvette.
"The crew continues to work hard to further develop the Chevrolet Corvette. There have had 3 1/2 weeks off since Montreal. We have several new pieces that we hope will work in conjunction together to move us up the order. While several of the teams are focused upon the 2008 championship, our whole focus is upon getting prepared for the 2009 season that will be here before you know it." - states Wayne Nonnamaker.
The ROLEX Grand American event will start at 1 pm and will be televised on the SPEED Channel.
