Tanner Baker first professional start occurred with Team Sahlen in the Barber Park KONI Challenge event in 2006. Additionally that season, Tanner drove with Team Sahlen at the Mid-Ohio event.
The following season, Tanner continued forward competing in the KONI series with ASC Motorsports co-driving with Zach Arnold in 5 events. His best outing was at Homestead where he qualified 7th in the GS class with his 996.
For 2008, Baker has made the switch to the IMSA Lites class which runs as a support to select ALMS races around the country. During the winter tests, Tanner was the fastest Lites car with a 2 minute 13 second lap at Sebring. At this year's 12 hour weekend, Tanner took the pole position in Lites, finished 3rd in Thursday's race and won in Fridays race. T
Tanner will do select IMSA Lites races this year and will also compete in select HSR events in a Porsche GT3 Cup car. Tanner recently celebrated his 22nd birthday on May 9th and continues to offer private instruction, and also instructs at Skip Barber and Henry Gilbert's Corvette driving school.
