For this weekend's ROLEX Grand American race at Viriginia International Raceway, the Grand Touring Class has 27 cars entered. This full field will be very competitive and exciting for the race fans to watch.
Team Sahlen will be entering their Corvettes in the GT race with high hopes. Drivers will be Joe Sahlen & Will Nonnamaker in the #42 and Joe & Wayne Nonnamaker in #43.
The team utilized the recent Homestead race as a test session to further develop the HRPWorld.com Corvettes. From the race weekend, the team came home with several more areas to further expand the evolution of the Corvette for the Virginia weekend.
"We are very excited about the Virginia event. Team Sahlen has always performed well at this world class road course. Plus the twisty turns really suits our Corvette." - states Joe Nonnamaker
To gain extra track time at Virginia, Joe Sahlen and Will Nonnamaker competed in last fall's Grand American KONI Challenge 6 hours in the Team Sahlen Mazda RX-8.
"Getting to drive at VIR last fall was really good. This is a very challenging track, and having the track time will be invaluable for the ROLEX race." - states Joe Sahlen
