On August 24th at 8:33pm, the newest member of the Nonnamaker family was born. Amelia Cosette Nonnamaker weighed in at 7 lbs even, and 20 inches long. Proud parents Holly and Will were happy to note that all fingers, toes and functions were in proper working order.
Will & Holly did not even arrive at the Akron City Hospital until 6:30 pm on Friday night, so delivery progressed relatively quickly. After arriving in the recovery room at midnight, both mother and father were obviously very hungry. Since the Hospital cafeteria was closed at this time, Will made a quick dash down the road to Mama DeLuca's pizza for some yummy $5 pizzas.
The picture at the right is with proud daddy Will and a not so happy Amelia the following day.
Ironically, the 25th of August is Will & Holly's son Ian's Birthday. Ian was born in the same exact Hospital and on the same exact floor 4 years prior.
The recovery for Mommy and Baby was relatively quick, and the Hospital released both on Sunday afternoon.
Amelia continues to do fine, sleeping almost all the time, just like all newborns do. At her first 1 week check up, she had actually gained more weight, which was a positive, as most babies lose weight in the first week.
The names picked were to honor both families heritage. Amelia "Mia" was to honor Holly's Mom's Northern Italian roots. Cosette was in honor of Will's Mom's French roots.
