Posted (01/14/2002) - Nonnnamaker Racing, as a team member of Planet Earth Motorsports, was proud to accept honors for their efforts in last season's 2001 Grand Am Cup season. First to be honored was Will Nonnamaker for his Championship in the C2K Class.

Will won six races last season, and never finished off the podium in scoring an average finishing position of 1.6.

The Planet Earth Motorsports team was also honored for winning the Team Championship. Accepting that award was Joe Nonnamaker and 2001 C2K Crew Chief of the Year, Mike Thomas.

Chevrolet's Larry Kubes picked up the Manufacturer's Championship award for Chevrolet in the Super Grand Sports class. Although the Planet Earth team only ran one race in SGS, they did help block points for Chevrolet at the first race, and Mr. Kubes thanked the team for their efforts while receiving the award.
