The headlines for the Nonnamaker family often comes from father Joe and his two sons Wayne and Will. Matriarch of the Nonnamaker clan - Kris Nonnamaker - is often seen hustling and bustling around the track. From taking care of Timing & Scoring, to In-Car Camera and Radio management to Food Preparation, she is always at the track helping Team Sahlen.
But at the Sahlen's 6 Hours, Kris will take center stage, as she will be the Honorary Starter of the event at the Glen.
"It is quite a honor to be the Honorary Starter. I was quite surprised when Joe & Anita Sahlen offered me the opportunity. I hope to make everyone proud at Sahlen's proud." - states Kris Nonnamaker
Kris will not be able to bask in the glory for long. As soon as her role as Honorary Starter is completed, Kris must quickly hurry back across the front straight cross over bridge to resume her duty as Timing and Scoring for Team Sahlen's #42 and #43 HRPWorld.com Corvettes.
The next round of the ROLEX Sports Car Series will be at Watkins Glen International on June 9th for the Sahlen's 6 Hours. The race will televised on SPEED Channel. Part I will start live at 11 am, and Part II to the finish will start at 2:30 pm.
