Team Sahlen entered the Lime Rock ST race weekend on the wings of a fine 10th place finish at Iowa Speedway.
At the 2006 event, Team Sahlen suffered from minor contact with the tire wall that resulted in a DNF. This year, Team Sahlen hoped to achieve a top 20 finish. That goal was achieved with a 16th place finish.
"This was a very competitive race. Unfortunately, Lime Rock didn't quite seem to be the Dodge's track. Even in the World Challenge race, the Dodge was not on the pace. It was great to compete and have fun. Joe drove another steady race. I am really looking forward to Mid-Ohio. We are looking forward to another shot at a Top Ten finish at that June event." - stated Will Nonnamaker
The 16th place finish marked the 3 straight finish for the Dodge. A strong sign that the Team Sahlen crew has come to grips with the SRT-4, and another strong finish is just around the corner.
The next outing for Team Sahlen's KONI ST campaign will be at the Mid-Ohio event on June 24th with Joe Sahlen and Will Nonnamaker driving.
