Posted (06/03/2005) - Team Sahlen spent the past Memorial Day weekend testing at Mid-Ohio sports car course.

Weather was great, with sunshine filling the skies for both days.

With the 2nd half of the season soon to start at next week's Sahlen's 6 hours at the Glen, it was vital for the team to focus on being prepared for the competition.

Drivers Joe Sahlen, Joe Nonnamaker, Wayne Nonnamaker and Will Nonnamaker were at the test.

The team was conducting extensive chassis refinement on both the Grand-Am Cup and ROLEX Team Sahlen Porsches.

In addition, due to the new db regulations at Grand American weekends, Team Sahlen was testing new muffler systems from Corsa.

The test went very well, with many new ideas that Team Sahlen plans to implement during the next few races.

And as a great bonus, each day for lunch the crew was treated to a fantastic spread that included Sahlen's Hot Dogs, Polish Sausages, Italian Sausages, as well as Turkey and Ham for sandwiches.

Team Sahlen next event will be the June 11-12 Sahlen's Watkins Glen weekend.
