Way back in 80's, Scott Pruett and his with Judy wrote a children's book titled Twelve Little Race Cars.
Many years later, a young Ian Nonnamaker received this wonderful little book from his Grandparents on his first Christmas. Ian's father Will pulled out Pruett pictures and fan cards from his racing archives and pasted them inside the book.
Then to top it all off, at the recent Mont Tremblant weekend, Ian had the opportunity to meet Scott.
Scott had just run in the same Mont Tremblant 6 hours as Ian's dad, Will. Not only had Scott run in the race, but he won the race overall in his CompUSA LEXUS driving with Max Papis.
After signing Ian's copy of the book, Scott took the extra time to make the event even more special. Scott retrieved his 1st place trophy, and had his picture taken with Ian, Will, the trophy and the winning car.
Scott began his career racing go-karts at the age of eight. Through hard work and determination, he worked his way up the "racing ladder" winning numerous professional and non-professional titles, incliding the 1986 and 1988 IMSA GTO Championship and the 1987 and 1989 Trans Am Championships, plus the 1989 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year.
Scott has raced everything since then from Champ Cars, to NASCAR to LeMans. In 2003, Scott won his 3rd Trans Am Title. In 2004, Scott is driving in the ROLEX Grand American series in the CompUSA LEXUS.
