When Joe Nonnamaker started racing in the 70's his helmet featured an arrow coming up over the top of the helmet. The arrow, he joked, was to remind him which way to go on the track. As the years went by, he went through several other designs, but when his sons (Will and Wayne) began to race in the mid-90s, they both chose to design the arrow theme into their helmets as well.

When Joe went to get his new helmet painted, he chose Kuzzins Kustoms.

"I was really pleased with the finish of the helmet," commented Joe. "Will did the design for the helmet, and Kuzzins did a very good job of following that design and making it a reality."
